SI joint pain when sitting and lying, but fine when lifting. What do?

SI joint problems and the things I tried:

4 weeks pushing through and only bothered me at higher load and then on to 4 week “deload” (I did lots of travelling for vacation, but training in the room or where I could, min 2-3x a week) - didn’t work, but I was okay with that

After vacation I continued training and for 2 months doing mix of stuff that bothers me only with pain maximally @6 on some movements - didn’t really work

After that for 5 months I did exercises that didn’t bother me with normal training, higher reps and rpe 7, but with limited ROM.

Pain@2(so negligible in my opinion) - didn’t work

Now for 3 weeks lower rpe, higher reps and higher frequency(4-5 times a week) and 90% full ROM(still experimenting) - low load so I don’t know if it will work or help me get back, but what bothers me is that training goes great. Move great nothing bothers me and then I sit for a bit and feel it a little bit so it feels weird… What to do about that situation? I was thinking of doing a consultation, but this one feels weird to consult for. Should I just continue with life and try not to pay attention to it?

So to recap: no pain in training, but bothers me when sitting in some position or when lying down in some positions…

I am familiar with pain in training, and read all the articles from you guys. This one is just weird. Also it started from last year when I overpushed last 2 weeks of cardio on my cut.

Stats: Over 9 years of consistent training. 194cm, 110kg, fairly lean. My plan is to continue with what I am doint currently, but the bothering thingy bothers me…

I would appreciate any help, thank you.

Howdy, Lifter03. Thanks for joining the forum, though I wish it were under more pleasant circumstances.

Sounds like you have had persistent low back pain for almost 8 months. I suspect that you would likely benefit from a consultation precisely because you’re familiar with our content and the longstanding discomfort. I don’t think ignoring something that declares itself regularly is a good strategy.

If forced to guess about what’s going on, I suspect that the bridge back from your rehab plan was insufficient for what you want to do, which could certainly be addressed via consultation. Whether you need to briefly revisit a rehab program proper is hard to say, but that’s also a possibility prior to the bridge.

Thank you for the welcome. It is only on the forum since I have been here a long time. Love the work you guys do.

I appreciate the advices and a guess on what it could be. Now I know what to do.

I will try and finish my own plan with training since I just started it and wanna give it a fair try and if it don’t work I will talk to you guys via consultations.

Thanks again
