Starting BT from week 4

I purchased the beginner template after Dr. Feigenbaum recommended I start from phase 2.

Two aspects of the program that got my attention were the high reps and the repeating week at the end of the phases. I’m excited for both.

Curiosity got the best of me and I decided to try out week 4’s Day 1 to practice implementing RPE and get a feel for higher rep schemes. Squats felt normal but the high reps for BP and DL felt like a shock to my system. I even woke up with a sore chest which almost never happens. I hit a new 3RM on BP last week and wasn’t sore afterwards.

I’ve always struggled with BP and I feel there is potential to make some progress repeating week 4 for a few iterations before moving on to phase 2 (which introduces secondary bench press movements). Does this seem like a good idea or should I just move on to phase 2?

I think that would be fine before moving on.
