Symptoms of hypothyroidism despite normal blood work

Hi docs, thanks in advance for all the help you provide myself, and the others who frequent this forum!

Symptoms:

Cold hands and feet, relatively low oral body temps (usually 35.8 - 36°C), thinning hair and eyebrows, constipation, brain fog, memory issues and no energy (workouts feel like they’re fuelled on adrenaline). Here’s a photo of my thinning eyebrows. My eyebrows used to be incredibly thick and dense, to the point where I was mocked (jokingly) by friends at school about just how thick they were.

Bloods:

Free T3 5.2 pmol/L (Range: 3.5 - 7.7)

Reverse T3 11 ng/dL (Range: 10 - 24)
FT3 : rT3 37.41 Ratio (Range: > 15)

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I’m not sure where to turn or what to look into. My symptoms fit those of hypothyroidism, but I do understand a lot of them are general and manifest in many other unrelated conditions too. If you require anymore information I’ll be happy to provide it. Thanks again docs!

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this.

It would help to know your age, sex, any other medical conditions you have / have been tested for, and how you’re being treated currently.

Have you observed any change in your symptoms throughout the course of these labs? In other words, did you feel any different at a TSH of 3-3.5 compared to 1.9-2.0?
