Hello I have just started the bridge program and I have completed my second week. I notice anytime I do tempo squats I have a lot of low back pumps and some slight pain. I have never experienced this before in two years of lifting but I have never done a tempo squat either. I know the obvious answer to this pain would be a weak lower back but I have pulled a clean 475 deadlift before I even started using a belt. The weight for this 8 rpe at 8 reps was only about 62.5% of my back squat. Looking for suggestions if I should admit my lower back is either weak, cut the weight even thought it wouldn’t be at a true rpe 8 or do another variation.
I guess until you record yourself no one will be able to give you a correct answer. Its really hard to tell without any visual clues.
You probably started out too heavy.
