The Bridge 1.0 limited time to train question

Hello

I currently have a situation were during the work week I can’t train for a significant amount of time. Perhaps 45 mins at most. Otherwise due to my long commute to work (4 hours a day) and long office hours, if I train during the week it’ll cut into my sleep and I need to be alert for work so I can’t do this. If I train during the week for more than an hour I’m likely to get 6 hours sleep a night (time in gym, travel to gym etc would be about 2 hours in total) and if I don’t train during the week I can get 8 hours sleep. I’ve tried training in the week and sleeping on the commute (two hours to work each day) but it’s not good quality sleep.

The days where I can train where time isn’t an issue is Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

I’m thinking of starting the bridge so my question is… What do you think the best thing to do in my situation is?

  • Split the bridge into 5 days instead of 3 so I can do quicker 30-45 min gym sessions so it doesnt cut into my sleep
  • Do the bridge on Fri, Sat and Sun (Not sure this is optimal for recovery?)
  • Split the bridge into 2 days Fri and Sun with one day rest inbetween

What do you think the best option would be?

Thanks so much in advance, big fan of BBM

I would just split it into 4-5 days, though the commute might be less than ideal. If that’s the case, I’d just do 2 days during the week and 1 longer day on the weekend to get it all in.

Thanks for the reply Jordan. Is there anyway you would recommend splitting it? So for example what exercises to select from the bridge for the longer sessions?

i could also just do Thursday, Saturday and Sunday which may also work pretty well. Is there any major disadvantage for having all the training days so close and a long 3 day break or can I still make reasonable gains as someone who has a day rest between each work out…

thanks in advance
