I just finished the 12 week strength template. I overshot the rpe I think in the first half of it and was really never totally recovered. I even threw in a few deload weeks. I feel kinda beat up so my question is should I run the bridge or hypertrophy? Should I just jump in or should I deload somehow for a week? Thank you !
You should be pretty peaked if you just finished up 12 Week Strength, so you’re probably going to want to ease yourself back into higher training volume without trying to do too much right away. A low stress or pivot type week would be a great way to do that, and I’m pretty sure most of BBM’s templates start with a low stress week, so you should be good to jump right into whichever one you choose if that’s the case.
As for which specific template you should do, that entirely depends on you and your goals. I will say that the Bridge might be a bit of a step back for you if you’ve been doing 12 WS, but I’m basing that off of the 1.0 version (I’m not familiar with the later versions, they might be more demanding). I’m personally running development blocks for the time being because I anticipate it being a while before I’ll be able to compete again with the Coronavirus lockdown, so no real purpose in a strength or sports form blocks right now ¯_(ツ)_/¯
