When I squat I get this weird thing where a few days after my abs feel very tight and this continues/worsens with continued squatting. What could I be doing wrong?
I high bar squat if that matters.

Probably just DOMS from having to keep your torso more upright, I get it with front squats sometimes
I’m a lifelong athlete. I know what DOMS feels like. This ain’t it. It’s like my pelvis and rib cage are trying to pull my abs in two.
no idea then, sorry
Prob should see a doctor… maybe a hernia or some shit

Lol what!?
I would seriously doubt this is a hernia.
We don’t have a lot to work with here. Core pain is typically a result of sub-optimal breathing and bracing. How do you feel your technique is? I only get weird pain in my ribs when I fail to remain completely tight for every rep. Though, this happens more for me from deadlifts. If your rib cage is moving at all, that could be the source.
Also, what is your belt situation? Wearing a belt too tight can cause issues like this. Any pain from the belt while you perform the movement?
