Hey Jordan,
I started the time crunch template this week with the intention of running the first 5 weeks continually for the foreseeable future (ie doing the “time crunch” portion of the template along with the low stress week, then repeating rather than moving on to the pivot) Training time has become a little more limited as I’m working on developing some new skills and breaking into a new career to start making some more money. I wanted to know if there’s a reason for me to believe trying to lose some weight right now would be a bad idea. Previous programming was a RP bodybuilding template, and the switch in programming represents a reduction in weekly volume for me.
Stats if they matter:
25 Male
36" waist
172 lbs
~26% BF
Been training for about 2 years with decent programming
Nutrition is currently:
3000 cals per day maintaining BW
155P/400C/90F
35-40g fiber per day
I was thinking of maintaining my BW for the first 5 weeks, see what my waist measurement and visual appearance does, then start a calorie deficit if my measurements stay the same.
In general, is weekly volume a thing you care about when deciding whether or not someone should lose weight?
Thanks a million,
Dylan
