Training Days/Active Rest/Recovery Days

I am starting the PowerBuilding III template. I wanted to ask about training days.

I have taken up running and I am actually enjoying it a lot. So, I would like to run 3 days a week, and do the PB Template 3 days. I have been doing this for quite a while now running other PowerBuilding programs.

i am 59 years old. I have no plans to compete in PL. I just love what heavy weight training does for me, and now, what running does for me too. I also need one day off, which would be Sunday. For a long time, I was training 4 days and running 3 days. But, I’m finding that I need one day of active rest/recovery.

My question is will I still benefit from your PB and PL programs 3 days a week, or should I look into some of your other programs that offer a 3-day option?

I think the 3-day templates will be easier to schedule and require little to no modification, whereas the 4-day templates likely benefit from some tweaking depending on the use case.

That said, I think running the first 3 days of PB III and skipping Day 4 in perpetuity would work more than fine in this setting. For upcoming templates, I’m trying to include multiple frequencies to try and suit more people.
