Training, Sleep, and Recovery

So I was listening to the last episode of the BBM podcast and Bryce Krawczyk mentioned something about how napping was helpful for recovery. I am a terrible sleeper and in trying to improve my sleep quality I do a bunch of stuff sleep docs generally recommend. This includes no caffeine late in the day, regular sleep and eating schedule, and (I thought) no naps. Am I needlessly avoiding naps? Would they actually help? Sleep is definitely the weakest part of my training and I’m always looking for ways to improve it so info here would be greatly appreciated!

Have you had a chance to check out podcast episode 93? We discuss these topics in detail with a sleep medicine physician and colleague of ours. I’d start there!
