Been lifting pretty regularly for ~2 years (low bar squat, Bench, Deadlift, rows, chins, etc). at some point I started to notice pins and needles, numbness when I sleep, and also while I stare at my phone lying in bed. Generally it didn’t bother me. I presumed it was related a bit worse circulation caused by inflammation after exercising arms (or just my newly bigger muscles cutting off circulation!
weird. lost the rest of my message.
anyways, I realized that the tingling always goes away when I relax and straighten my arm. The numbness and pins and needles are mostly in my pinky / ring finger and outer hand. I don’t have any elbow pain. Googling, that sounds like Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. the internet says this is a fairly common sports injury? I cant tell if it’s serious and needs my attention or not. a Chiropractor on the internet says Cubital Tunnel can damage the nerve, and cause scar tissue and can become a permanent thing. Prehab guys seem to think it’s pretty fixable. I’ve noticed I cant come close to comfortably doing: Ulnar Nerve Tensioner - [P]rehab. I suppose I’m not flexible at all. What would you guys recommend? If I should see a professional, what kind would you recommend? I’d certainly want to avoid loosing grip strength!
I will follow this discussion with interest since I received Ulnar nerve entrapment diagnosis yesterday. I will cry like a little baby if lifting is out.

I can’t give you any specific clinical advice as I’m not a clinician, but I would be wary of landing on a “diagnosis” based on Google results. Having done a number of months with the BBM rehab team, I would wholeheartedly recommend a consult with Dr Miles, assuming there aren’t red flag symptoms that require a physician’s evaluation.
