For a few weeks now, after a bench press set, I’ve been experiencing an intense shock of pain in my right wrist only as I rerack the barbell. There is no pain while performing reps. The pain completely disappears approximately 10 seconds after. I had actually sprained it a couple months back and I still feel minor pain while doing exercises like hammer curls, but apart from that, I do not experience any pain going about my day. Should I be concerned about this or should I keep training normally? I would love to hear your opinion on this.
Hey @Insignia thanks for the question and sorry to hear about your experience. However, sounds like you’ve been managing well overall. We can’t provide insight to your experience or individual recommendations without a consultation. We offer remote consultations and if you are interested, please complete our intake paperwork HERE. Otherwise, the Pain in training: what do? article outlines our general advice in these scenarios quite well.
Thanks Michael, really appreciate the feedback. I’ll check out more of BBM’s resources and definitely consider a consult with you guys if things don’t get better
