Upper Body Lifts Stalled

Hi everyone,

I’m running the bridge for a second time and I’m in week 4.

My first time through the bridge was great, my squat and deadlift went up. While my bench, ohp and rows did increase they weren’t as dramatic as my lower body lifts. Being on week 4 of my second run though, my squat and deadlift are still going up at satisfactory rate. However my bench, ohp and rows haven’t improved for a few weeks. Any suggestions? Should I be looking to hop on a different template?

Most people would jump to another template in this situation.

You could experiment with adding some additional upper body training volume, though we have not put out official recommendations on that ourselves.

Assuming I want to switch to a different template, can you comment on which one(s) might be more appropriate? I feel like when I look at the templates I kind of get some choice paralysis.

For what it’s worth, I don’t intend to compete and my goal is to get as strong as possible.
