Using the Prowler for LISS Cardio

What is everyone’s opinion on using the prowler for LISS cardio on GPP days? I’m currently running the Bridge 1.0 in week 4, and I’ve been pushing the prowler for the full 25 minutes prescribed back and forth on a 30 yard green turf strip. Usually I’ll start out loaded with a single 45 lb plate and unload weight from there once my speed starts to slow down too much. As soon as I hit the other side, I change the handles to the other side and start pushing again with no rest in between runs save for the occasional drink of water.

What I want to know is whether this is an acceptable form of cardio or if I should do something else. I haven’t really heard of anyone else using the prowler this way, but I find it more appealing than sitting on an assault bike or rower for 25 minutes.

Likewise, what kind of improvements should I see over time with this method? Should I aim to keep as much weight on the sled as I can for as long as possible, or should I go for higher number of runs completed?

I think an unloaded sled might work if you’re already fairly conditioned. I wouldn’t try and use as much weight as possible, but rather maintain a steady HR similar to the LISS prescription.
