Water filters/filtration system

Hello Jordan

I was recently thinking to buy a water filtration system/carbon filter but Im not quite sure if it’s worth it. Alot of conflicting information. For reference I don’t live in USA I live in cyprus where most of our life never drank from tap. So If by any chance you have used these filters or have general information about it being worth it I would appreciate it.

Bonus question : I know it’s probably BS but “water experts” in my country claim it’s harmful to drink water from plastic bottles long term and should use glass instead. Whats your take in that?

I’m not an expert in water filtration so I’m not sure I have an opinion on this.

I don’t think there’s a big issue with drinking water from plastic, but glass is probably a little better environmentally and for limiting exposure to micro-/nano-plastics. Whether reducing exposure in this manner is actually better for long term health outcomes is speculative and would need to be tested in order to feel confident about it.
