Week Before Meet

I am currently on week 12 of the Powerlifting 2 Template, and have my first meet next Saturday (9 days out).

Because of the labor day holiday, and some late night work issues, I am a bit behind on my workouts this week. I got my first workout in on Tuesday, but missed day 2 yesterday (last heavy deadlift day). With the meet being 9 days out, would it disadvantage me to do my 96% heavy pull tonight (~480lbs)? What about the last 2 workouts of this week?

I guess I’m not sure what to do, as I want to be in peak shape and recovered for the meet, but I also don’t want to de-train and under-perform. My deadlifts have been feeling good the past few weeks, and I really want this 500+ pull at the meet. Any recommendations?

I would get this week’s training in as planned, including the deadlift session (hopefully today). Let us know how it goes!

Thanks! I’ll get session 2 in today, 3 Friday, 4 Saturday; and then openers on Monday. Hopefully next week’s taper should get me good to go!
