I posted a few days ago that I’d like to focus on hypertrophy for awhile and one of the changes I’m making is throwing Romanian deadlifts into my routine. I’ve never done them before so I find that looking sideways into the mirror to make sure I’m doing them correctly really helps. I posted a form check on the stronger by science group and got multiple people telling me I shouldn’t be looking sideways while doing them. Every fiber of my being and everything you guys have taught me about training tells me it literally does not matter but I still have to ask anyway
I don’t think it really matters from an injury risk standpoint, but I also wouldn’t recommend looking in the mirror or sideways to guide your form. I’d keep a gaze similar to squats and regular deadlifts.
