Will bbm rehab programming speed up back tweak recovery?

Hello,

i tweaked my back yesterday deadlifting. No big deal. I’ve worked through back tweaks before using bbm content, finding movements I can perform to tolerance. What sucks about this time is the timing. My wife’s due date is oct 14th, she can give birth at any time, and I want to be available to help out as much as I can during and after the delivery. And want to hold the new baby with limited pain after the birth. Do you think bbm rehab programming will speed up recovery? Not really sure what to expect from this post. Just want to ask for advice.

Thank you for reading and responding.

We can’t make confident claims about “accelerating” recovery, because there isn’t a consistent comparator here.

In other words, “speed up” … compared to what? Compared to people doing their own attempted self-management? Compared to them seeing a different healthcare professional? Compared to them continuing to train the same without modifications? Compared to doing nothing / “rest”?

As you know, we’ve put out a lot of content on how to self-manage pain symptoms in training. If individuals are struggling with this, or if they would like independent guidance, we are happy to help. But regardless, each case is unique, and it’s still important for individuals to embrace the rehab process, as time is a variable that we can’t always influence here. In some cases it’s a matter of finding ways to train and stay engaged while things improve on their own.
