Wrist Pain during Press - Lowering Only

I get a sharp pain during pressing. It occurs only while lowering the weight, when the barbell is at about chin level. It happens during warm ups with the bar, which has made me hesitant to train the movement. If I do dumbbell presses starting with a supinated grip (Arnold presses) I do not experience any pain. Any ideas what this could be? I’ve been training for a few years, and have never experienced wrist pain like this before.

It’s going to be hard to pinpoint a specific “cause” here, and it is unlikely to be useful anyway. Our standard recommendations for managing pain in the gym would apply here:
