TL;DR
Looking for a bar that
- Low saturated fat, <2g ideally
- High protein, >25 ideally (probably whey based preferred)
- No artificial sweeteners if possible
- Don’t mind a few extra calories from sugars, but wouldn’t want to go over 200c per bar or so
- I don’t have a picky pallet. but it’d be nice if it tasted unbad.

I usually have 1 protein supplement a day for about 28g extra’sh. Usually Whey Isolate, but I’m looking for a protein bar with the same ballpark protein target….but….
Ideally it’d be one with minimum saturated fats, no artificial sugars, but minimal added sugars.
Most bars tend to go all in on things like coconut, chocolate, cashew fats, and other high saturated fat ingredients. So 3-5g is not uncommon. Which is a huge percentage of my daily target (33% or so).
The other “filler” is lots of sugar. So you see a lot of bars that have like 18g protein, but 350+ calories.Which is almost a high protein candy bar. Nice as an occasional midway “treat”, but not a regular thing.
I’m familiar with Perfect Bars, Cliff, David, David was closest, but I’d prefer a few more calories and less artificial sweeteners.
