12 week strength template

I know this template is suggested for when you have a lot of time to train, and want to focus singularly on strength. I am not competing but would like to give this a go (I purchased this template last year when it first came out). For the most part, I’ve mostly trained full body, 3 x per week. I’d like to give the 4 day an honest go, but scheduling wise, it might not work. Do you guys think I would be better served just using the 3 day schedule provided, or following the 4 day per week, but taking an extra day’s rest when needed? I was even contemplating following the 4 day schedule, but always taking two days off. So, day 1, day 2, off, off, day 3, day 4, off, off. I realize this will stretch this 12 week template out longer, but this could possibly coincide nicely to when my training focus will have to shift, as I prepare for hiking season. If you want to give the 12 wk template a very good run, I’d run it as written. However if you can’t train 4 days a week, just use the 3 day a week option, and I would not plan to take extra rest days to extend the program.
