A little dirt in my Bulk.

Hi BBM

I’m running the press template. It’s my first 4 day program. It’s going well, really enjoying it. Only thing is, I feel like I’ve been underperforming this week. I’m fairly sure it’s due to not eating enough food. I should be hitting 3200 calories at least. I’ve only been eating 2800-3000 in the last couple of weeks. I’m eating as ‘clean’ as possible at the moment. The problem is I’m feeling really full and satiated everyday, either though my body weight is down a half a kilo this week. So, yesterday I had a pudding after dinner, then had some cookies and a protein shake as my 4th meal later on. This got me to 3200. My weight was back up this morning.

My last bulk failed (got fat) and I don’t want to repeat past mistakes. My question is, how much ‘dirty’ food can we eat every day, as part of a healthy diet?

Thanks BBM.

This is highly unlikely.

That makes the reason for “underperforming” being “undereating” even less likely.

I don’t think the descriptor clean or dirty reliably describes the quality of foods and I wouldn’t use them routinely. Rather, I would have a calorie and/or macro goal for the day and hit that/those routinely, adjusting as necessary.

If your performance in the gym is changing in a negative manner, I’d look at aspects of the programming first before a few hundred calories.

Thank you for the feedback Jordan!
