I’ve run SSLP for 3 months and now I am trying to milk it to the very end before moving to the bridge.
I am 26 years old, 6’1 and weigh about 90kg with a waist circumference of 40 inches.
I was eating 500C/100F/220P for 3 months during LP, then reduced it to 450C/90F/220P for 2 weeks, then to 420C/80F/220P for another 2 weeks, in the attempt to reduce waist size.
I think I’ll drop it to 375C/70F/220P now because I’ve seen very little if any change in my waist line.
I’d like to keep weight stable but reduce waist circumference (i.e. keep gaining strength while losing some fat).
Do you agree with my nutrition strategy? Should I add a day of GPP like what you prescribe in the bridge?
What rate of waist reduction should I be aiming for here? An inch every 2 weeks or so?
I think that change is fine. I would add 1 day of GPP, sure. The rate of reduction is likely to be slower than that, but I haven’t had any luck getting an average that is reliable with my clients as far as rate of loss goes.
Sooooo, I should probably be reprimanded for using a message function and not posting to a thread directly the first time…I’ll any abuse I’ve earned, and do truly apologize, I’m sure that’s a huge pain, and certainly less helpful for the masses… anyway…
Is leaving the Novice LP simply because I want more volume to get my waist smaller worth while or do I keep running the LP and throw the aesthetics to the wind until the LP is simply unsustainable?
Alright cool, I’ll keep the diet as is and see how things evolve during the next couple of weeks.
Regarding the GPP day: would you recommend a similar workout to the ones prescribed in the bridge? i.e. 7 mins AMRAP chins/rows + 7mins abs + 25mins steady state cardio @ RPE 6
Btw, great content in your last podcast on programming!
Sorry, I have another doubt: when you say 7mins AMRAP do you count resting time in there or is it 7mins of effective work without counting resting time?
