Quick question. Is it safe—and optimal—to consume blended uncooked oats for fiber intake?
It’s fine to do this.
Just for the record, I believe that oats sold as oatmeal are steamed and pressed before they’re packed. That’s what gives them their flattened shape.
Unless you’re specifically buying raw oats, which are typically sold for seed, what you’re buying has most likely been cooked in some way already.
