Started strength training 6 months ago, initially used the Stronglifts app then switched to Starting Strength after doing a bit of research. Learned the lifts from Youtube videos but then thought I should get some coaching after receiving unsolicited advice from a “gym bro” re how my low bar squat was all wrong . Found the only SS coach in Australia (Joe Pemberton in Sydney - top bloke) and signed up for some online coaching which was invaluable in correcting my technique, though it is still a work in progress.
Recently commenced the Bridge program V1 and am about to start week 4 tomorrow. Current stats are (sorry about the kgs but just multiply by 2.2 for lbs):
Age: 55
Height: 5’9"
Weight: 90kg
Squat: 85kg x 5 x 3 sets
Press: 43kg x 5 x 4 sets
Bench: 59kg x 5 x 4 sets
Pendlay: 61.5 x 8 x 3 sets
Deadlift:: 117.5kg x 5 x 3 sets
Happy with how the program is going but squats are my weak area, hoping to smash through the 100kg mark over the next few weeks.
P.S: 3-0-3 tempo squats are killers
