Bridge GPP Question

Hi,

I plan to start the Bridge Friday (I don’t feel intermediate, but I’m not progressing and at 42 with meh BP I’m not interested in seeing if tons of calories would solve my problem).

A quick request for clarification on the GP. On many weekends I go on 2-4 hr hikes in the mountains (500-2000ft of ascent depending on the trail). Can this replace the GPP, or is it the high reps of GPP that are critical? The truth is it probably will replace at least some of the GPP on the weeks I hike – the question more accurately is should I still strive to get at least some of the GPP in on Day 4 (Monday following a hike).
