Conditioning

I just bought a fancy new exercise bike. How much of a problem is it if I just ride it every day for 30 minutes? Will it hurt my gains at rpe 6 daily for 30 minutes? I just enjoy riding it, but won’t ride it every day if it will impede progress. I have been training forever, I’m 36, I’m doing the body building template right now.

If you’re talking about going from zero conditioning per week to everyday conditioning, it might slow you down for a bit until you adapt to tolerate it better. I’d start with 3x/wk for ~ a month and then ramp it up towards your desired frequency over the following 2 months.

That said, I don’t know that it’s really going to impede progress that much anyway overall and being more active is good, in general. Since I can’t predict what’s going to happen for you, the individual, I’d probably err towards a more gradual approach than ramping it up to 6-7x/wk off the bat.
