Controlled fall on deadlifting eccentric phase

If a have a good form, it is a problem to instead of a controlled fall, control all the deadlift eccentric phase?

When I dont do a controlled fall, I fell like my lower back is working too much, like a pressure. I was wondering if controlled fall is the only option when you are lifting heavy weights, is that it?

It’s probably more accurate to describe the deadlift descent as a “controlled fast descent”. I don’t really understand the feeling of pressure in your lower back you are describing, but it indicates that you might be relaxing your lower back on the descent. Stay tight and lower the bar quickly, with control.

I see, thx for the correction. I am doing a controlled slow descent instead fast. With good form I can do it? or is bad and I should stop doing it?

If you are lowering the bar TOO slowly, it’s a waste of valuable DL energy, and that’s why we don’t do it.
