Deadlift Variations for Short Arms

I have extremely short arms. When I lock-out the deadlift the bar is on top of my genitals. Needless to say, I have a hate-hate relationship with the deadlift. Are there any deadlift variations, or combination of exercises, that have the same benefits as deadlifting, but come with less genital bruising? All of the standard variations; rack pulls, RDL, beltless-reverse-banded-paused-deficit-deadlift-with-chains, all have the same lock-out.

How about sumo deadlifts?

Unfortunately the sumo deadlift has the same lock-out problem for me.

Save for moving your genitals with different types of underwear or athletic supporter, I’m not sure that I have a solution for you.

You don’t have to deadlift to train, of course, and there are many other exercises you can do.

Antonio I have a similar situation and I’ve found compression underwear and compression shorts are the answer !

I have tried compression shorts and jock strap. I have also tried freeballing. I even tried doing the tuck everlasting. I suppose I should have been more clear in my original question. My arms are actually short. The difference between my deadlift grip and my snatch grip is about an inch. Essentially, I foam roll my junk every deadlift session.

So, if I was to stop deadlifting, what would I replace it with?
