Deadling with Scaphoid Injury

Hi,

I had a scaphoid non-union fracture, which required a surgery back in February 2016. I had a second surgery in November 2016 to remove the pin that was holding my scaphoid together. So technically, I am healed, though my full range of motion never came back. Whenever I press, I can feel a pressure buildup on my scaphoid (though not painful pressure). When I put on wrist wraps, that pressure feeling goes away.

So, my question is, should I suck it up and train without wrist wraps? If I can use wrist wraps, when should I use them?

I don’t see the downside to using wrist wraps here, so just use them as often as you need.
