Disrupted Training

Hi BBM,

Currently On week 5 of the bodybuilding program phase 1.

Weeks 1 and 2 were not an ideal start as I started the program with and ibs flare up. This meant major changes in diet as spice, pepper, oil, dairy or even anything fried was not agreeing with me.

Weeks 3,4 and 5 have been disrupted due to travel and a family funeral and as a result training, nutrition and sleep was affected. For weeks 3 and 4, I was able to shift things around and complete the weeks prescription.

However, week 5 by the time I hit Sunday due to limited access to equipment / gym, I had like 13 exercises outstanding that had not got done through the week. I have lost a significant amount of weight and strength in this short time though I was still training to some degree. For the 1st time in over 5 years, I was forced to miss a few sessions.

Training goals: hypertrophy and general health.

Questions

-Should I repeat the current week?

-Rerun program from the beginning?

-Restart at week 3 and proceed?

-Switch to another program that I like.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your loss and recent stress. I know that can be frustrating.

I’d go back to the most recent deload or pivot week and start from there. If the nearest deload/pivot week is the beginning, you can do that too.

Many Thanks for the prompt response and guidance.
