Does proof of alcohol matter?

Before we had discussed that 2 drinks for a male daily is unlikely to affect training and recovery , my question is involved with diving into the “ 2 drinks” a little.

  1. does the proof of the alcohol matter? For example if a person drank 2 beers at 7% vs 2 shots of whiskey at 80 proof

  2. is there an actual amount of liquid cutoff to consider , for example 2 small cans vs 2 pints

  1. The amounts are based on a “standard drink,” which is defined as 14 grams of ethanol (e.g., 5 ounces of wine, 12 ounces of beer, or 1.5 ounces of 80 proof spirits). It should be noted that the risk “thresholds” come from epidemiological data and have some variation internationally.

  2. No
