I purchased the Endurance template and will start using it in about a month. I was looking to specifically improve my 3 mile run time with this template while maintaining strength.
Since I am looking to improve the 3 mile run time rather than “general endurance,” would it make sense to modify the template by changing the GPP endurance days a bit? For example, Day 2 consists of sprints, but these are very short and I do not think would have much carry over to the 3 mile. I was thinking of changing day 2 to 400m repeats instead of the sprint protocols in there now while keeping the same progression. Day 4 I would keep the same, and maybe increase the time or distance in day 6?
Any insight would be very helpful.
