Ehhh, what’s up doc? I’m interested in your GPP template, but noticed that it recommends a rower and/or bike. I have neither, but am open to walking with a weighted vest and running. Would this template work without a bike or rower? Or, do you think I can get away with just running/vest walking a couple days a week with another template (strength, hypertrophy)? Thanks!
You could run for all your conditioning if you like, but if you’re not terribly good at running that’s a bit too much stress from running right off the bat. A bike would be cool to use in that situation.
I wouldn’t recommend running with a weighted vest on this template.
Can you do HIIT on a normal stationary bike? Or do you need something where you can adjust the resistance quickly on the fly? Mine only adjusts when you’re not pedalling so I can’t crank it up quickly.
You can do it just fine on that type of bike. I’d keep the resistance medium-ish.
I suck at running, and feel terrible afterwards. But, I’m getting ready to take the written test for San Antonio Fire Department, and if the test goes well I need to start working on running regularly, since you’re expected to run 1.5 miles in 12:00 in the academy. Running is a lot more difficult when you’ve gained 55lb, your thighs touch and you haven’t done it in 7 years…
Sounds like you’ve gotta run then.
