Heavy singles in the hypertrophy templates

How would you feel about someone doing another set of 6 @ 8 instead of the single if they aren’t concerned with 1 rep max strength and just want to maximize hypertrophy during this template?

I think the 1 @ 8 helps generate some motor unit recruitment you wouldn’t get with another 6 @ 8, though I submit to you it probably doesn’t matter either way.
