HLM - Development Phase run-out

Hello,

Age: 42
Height: 6’4"
Weight: 200 lbs.
Waist: 35 in.

Progress in strength since November (Bridge1.0 → 2 months pure endurance (Lost strength. This was a silly competition with friends.) → HLM):
(Trap bar) Dead lift e1RM: 400 → 445
Back Squat e1RM: 315 → 345
Bench e1RM: 215 → 235
Press e1RM: 155 → 175

Training time: 10 years of strength, crossfit, kettlebell, endurance, etc.

Goals: Increase strength, maintain endurance, maintain weight, prepare for alpine climbing (6 to 16 hours for multiple days on steep and technical terrain with a 30 to 40# pack)

Whew, now that that’s out there on to my simple question…
I’m finishing up on week 4 of HLM3.0 (Development phase). I have been enjoying the volume and intensity of weeks 3 and 4. I seem to be responding well. I also like the additional volume for the muscular endurance benefits I ‘assume’ it’s providing toward my mountaineering goals.

My question is: Would there be any harm in running out the development phase week 4 until I stalled? I was thinking 2 or 3 weeks.

For additional context I’m not following GPP per program. Since I need to sustain long days in the mountains I’ve been doing 3 GPP days in between strength days of the following: 5 mile run at RPE8, 5 mile ruck with 30lb vest RPE6’ish, weekends are a 3 to 6 hour hike with 30lb pack rpe6 to 7. So far this does not appear to be impacting my HLM gains.

Thanks for the feedback!
