Intense arm pain during amd afrer bench presses

Hello

I recently finished the strongman block 1 program, amd jumped into PL week 3 (now doing week 4) since I have a meet coming up in 7 weeks.

I have noticed some increasing pain in my bicep and forearm, particularly the part of the msucle, closest to my elbows in both arms, although way more pronounced in the right one.
This week however during my comp bench, the pain was so intense between my sets that it took my 90min just to get through my benches. I even failed my 4@9 at the third rep.
Most of this pain seems to subside slowly during the rest period and it goes down to a manageable level in 5 or 6 minutes.

I had similar nagging pain before, when increasing my benching frequency, but never on this kind of a level.

I fully expect this to go away in the coming weeks, so I am not worried on that front, however I am woefully uninformed on how to best deal with this, so I can be prepared for my meet coming up, as I really want to hit some specific bench numbers there. Would you maybe recommend doing a low stress or pivot week?

Thanks for any input.

A lower stress/pivot-type week may help mitigate symptoms in the short term, but if the areas are inadequately prepared to handle the workloads/intensities you are exposing them to in your current programming, you will need to modify that programming in order to reduce the risk of recurrence when you get back to normal training.
