I have been training as a powerlifter for almost 3 years. On August 3rd, I competed for the first time in the Illinois Strongman Association (ILSA) powerlifting competition in the 40+ Masters HW category. I placed first in my weight class, 1st overall and set 2 records. The host of the competition suggested that I compete in the USPA. There is a meet in my area on November 23rd. I’d like to know if the powerlifting templates are designed for competition or if I should seek coaching?
Blupony,
Nice job at the strongman comp and congrats on your records!
Yes, both of the powerlifting templates are appropriate for competing in a powerlifting meet! Let us know how you do!

Well, the training has ended due to a class 1 hamstring tear on 11/5. Although it is not serious, it is very inconvenient since the competition is on 11/23. I have spent the last week rehabilitating it. Starting on 11/18, I will add squatting and pulling into the workout to get a feel for my comp numbers. My hope is that my hamstring will be in great condition and I can pick up where I left off. Here is the data that I have recorded so far.
