Hey coaches,
If you don’t have a meet in sight and just want to get strong as hell, can you maintain high volume training ( for example the first four weeks of the 12-week strength template) for a longer period of time, say three months with little modification? I would think that the more time spent focusing on hypertrophy would help transfer over to strength when necessary and prevent the cyclical nature of peaking, but I’m sure there’s a reason for its design.

It’s certainly possible to train with higher volumes over a longer period of time, though you may need to make some adjustments and/or take some low stress weeks along the way to keep things progressing.
