12 week strength - bench press

I’m currently on week 4 of the 12 week strength template. I have to switch from the 4 day to 3 day option due to time restraints.

My question is about the loss of volume for the bench press. Would it be advisable to add on the omitted bench press variation to the end of day 2 ? Or switch the competition press for the bench press variation and do a lighter press ? Or something else ?

I really want to drive my bench press up and I feel the loss of volume could hinder that progress.

Why don’t you try it without adding back the volume for the next 4 weeks and see how you do? You’ll know the answer after that :slight_smile:
