After having positive results and - most importantly - lots of fun running the Low Fatigue Gen 1 template, I decided to give the Gen 2 template a go in the near future.
While looking through the Excel sheets I stumbled upon the updated conditioning prescriptions that differ a bit from the programmed conditioning in the Gen 1 template. Could you elaborate on why you decided to no longer program HIIT/sprints in Gen 2 (powerlifting) whereas there are up to two sessions of HIIT programmed in Gen 1?
I don’t think sprints are very useful for powerlifters generally speaking. Lots of fatigue and little fitness benefit for someone who is decidedly not an endurance athlete. Since the new template has additional non-powerlifting programs included in it, I didn’t feel compelled to keep the sprints in.
I believe I discuss not liking HIIT and SIT work for most barbell sport athletes in the accompanying eBook, but I could’ve also edited it out
