Missed workout right before test week, what do

Currently on week 5, block 2 of PB1 Gen 2. Running the 4 day template, and should of been day 3. However, I had an unexpected work trip pop up today, that was a 10 hour drive, and I missed the workout today. Ordinarily, i would just do Day 3 tomorrow (Friday) and day 4 Saturday, then resume the following week as Normal on Monday.

My question, with next week test week, and my test day being Friday, is this still the ideal approach. I would assume so, and I should do Week 5 day 3 tomorrow, Day 4 Saturday, then run test week as normal beginning on monday, but just wanted to check and get your thoughts.

Thanks,

Hey Matte,

I can understand there’s some increased vigilance surrounding this first test week. I’d like to offer some support and perspective. Everything you hit during test week is going to be a PR. It’s gonna be awesome to have some benchmarks, for sure! While want to get the best performance possible, none of us are getting paid based on how much we lift. Go in, have fun, and see what you can do!

To your specific question, I’m not sure I understand. You would normally workout Friday and Saturday and still have the opportunity to do so. I would plan on that, then doing the test week as written.

You’ve got this, dude!

Thanks Jordan, and to your point, im clearly excited/anxious about this 1st test week. I think your advice is great, quit stressing and have fun with it. Probably the perspective I needed to hear.

I think my question was centered around, Friday would normally be my day 4 and I’d get two days rest before Monday, but in this scenario Ill now only get one day rest. Normally I would not care, and sounds like its no big deal now. I think my anxiousness around test week got me over thinking it.

I’ll proceed as suggested. Again, thanks so much for the patience and encouragement about test week. I know ive been a frequent poster the past few days, lol.

I’ll provide an update next Friday after the test. Like you said, theyll all be PR’s and honestly, all higher weights than I ever thought possible for myself. I mean it when I say, dont think I could of done it without the templates and help and support of this community. Thanks again!!!

No worries, mate. Have a great week!
