No Arm Progress

Hey docs,

I finished the beginner template a few weeks ago and I’m currently on week 2 of powerbuilding 1. I have made really good progress following BBM programming so far. The only thing that is bothering me is that my GPP arm exercises have not progressed in weeks. I’m currently doing 12 sets of biceps/triceps a week (6 sets of 10-15 reps 2x a week @ RPE 8). Since GPP arm work was first prescribed in the beginner template I’ve pretty much been adding 2 sets every 2 weeks. Am I not doing enough volume? Or could the fact that I’m running maintenance calories be inhibiting my progress? Thanks so much!

I don’t think I would add 2 sets every 2 weeks ad nauseam, but would rather maintain your current volume for the next ~6-8 weeks. I’d also probably go closer to failure, e.g. 9-10, and start measuring your arms so we can have some actual data on it.
