Hey guys, im just about to begin PB1 for the second time (I have run the older version a few times) and to be honest i didnt know til recently that it’d been updated. It looks great and im especially excited to run the bench portion of the program.
I must say though, i do have concerns regarding the lower volume of RDLs and HBBS within Block 1 and I feel it may be too low. Could i sub in the older programming into this segment? The rest of the volume in the program looks great and i love the addition of triples.
You can definitely tweak things as you need to get the most out of our Powerbuilding I template, as it’s designed to focus on both hypertrophy and strength in the Big Three for folks with at least 6-8 months of training history.
I do think the volume is likely appropriate as it sits, and I’d encourage you to run it the first time through as written, then reassessing how you responded. As you note, you get free updates to the template for as long as we make them. I try to take into consideration feedback from users to tweak the templates periodically over time and I think the way it sits is likely to work better for many. You can tweak things if you need, but I’d aim to run it as is 1-time through.
Quick question regarding the updated PB1, I’m in week 4 and have been running it via the app. Are the templates on the app updated when an app update comes around? If not, is there a way to update them beforehand?
