I just hit the 2 month mark on the NLP, deadlift, squats and bench are all continuing to progress nicely. I’m still able to put additional weight on the bar each workout.
My overhead press though is just not working out for some reason. It’s literally regressing.
June 26 - 100lb Press, 3x5 completed (RPE 10 on each set)
Jul 01 - Failed first 105lb set, backed off to 95lbs. 3x5 completed at 95lbs (RPE 9.5 or so at 95lbs)
Jul 06 - Stayed at 95lbs - First set, only completed 4 reps, second and third set, completed all 5 reps.
Jul 10 (Today) - At 95lbs, barely completed first set of 5. Failed at 3rd rep in 2nd set. Backed off weight to 90lbs just so I could complete a 3rd set.
What the heck is going on? Are my shoulders just training resistant? Any suggestions on how I can get back to moving the right direction?
