Hey Doc. Are Creatine and Beta Alanine the only “saturation ingredients” in Peri-Rx?
Bekegren,
Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what you mean by saturation ingredients. Can you clarify?
Creatine and Beta Alanine need to be taken every day to saturate the muscle and see benefits. I’m already taking 5 grams of creatine every day, so I’m just wondering which ingredients have immediate performance benefits?
I see. I don’t think any of the ingredients in PeriRx have good data showing immediate performance benefits and, further, i’m not sure that outcome (or set of outcomes) matters outside of competition. In other words, I’m not sure that modest differences in workout performances lead to modest (or greater) changes in tested performance under rested conditions.
Further, the majority - if not all- of the data regarding the supplements included in PeriRx use daily dosing over weeks to assess outcomes. I’m not sure that they do much in the way of immediate performance benefit outside of placebo effect. I also think that achieving a steady state concentration of these agents is probably important to them working, even if “muscle saturation” isn’t the pathway they use.
