Powerbuilding 2, cherry picking

Hi!

I just purchased the Powerbuilding 2 template since i wanted some more structure in my training and also try RPE.
I was wondering if i could could “cherry pick” from the template?

Was thinking about following the template only for Exercise One (maybe Exercise 2 as well but change them according to my weak points) for each of the 4 days i.e. Squat, Bench, Dead and Press. And then doing my own thing for the remaining session? Or will this throw things off to much?

Hi Stig and welcome to the forum.

You can do that, as anyone gets to apply the template as they wish to their own training. However with your stated goals of having more structure and leaning RPE, I’d highly encourage you to run the template through 1 time, as written, learning RPE, using the template plan to give both structure and overall management to your training time and stress. And then you could run it again and alter some things if that seems fitting for your goals and progress.
