I have a little understanding issue with Week 2 of PB III
For the main lifts it says 4@7, keep weight the same and do another 10 reps. Adjust reps per set to maintain RPE 7 for each set.
Now how would I do 10 reps with the same weight that was 4@7 before or is it because I am not a native speaker?
Or am I to use the same weight and see if I can manage 4 reps again or maybe it feels like RPE 7 after 3 reps and repeat it untill I have a total of 10 reps done in whatever many sets I need to keep it on RPE 7?
Thanks alot
Hey Josh,
Thanks for the post. To your question:
Now how would I do 10 reps with the same weight that was 4@7 before or is it because I am not a native speaker?
You would do 1 to 4 reps per set to do an additional 10 reps. Each set should be ~ RPE 7. The weight should be the same as the original 4 reps @ RPE 7 set.

Hey Jordan,
Just to hop onto this thread with a similar question, what if my sets were to look something like this:
4 reps @ RPE 7 (Main set)
4 reps @ RPE 7
4 reps @ RPE 7
2 reps @ RPE 5-6 (depending on fatigue from the previous sets)
What I mean by that is, what would I do in the scenario that I managed to get 2 additional sets of 4 reps at RPE 7 and as such I only need to do 2 reps on my final set, which will inevitably be at a lower RPE than the prescribed 7?
That is 100% fine and appropriate.
