What are the differences between these three templates? I’m currently on week 5 of the Bridge and want to move to something to build some size afterwards. I’d like to maintain strength as much as possible and perhaps even gain strength even if very slowly. All these templates seem to fit the bill but they all seem very similar. I’m having trouble choosing one. Can anyone give me some idea of the differences?
Powerbuilding and the legacy GPP hypertrophy template are similar, though powerbuilding’s programming is a bit more refined based on feedback. The main goal there is strength improvement in the big 3, but with a healthy dose of bodybuilding. Comparatively, the Hypertrophy templates are more focused on hypertrophy without a focus on strength improvement in the big 3.

This type of question seems to come up frequently. Maybe an update to the sticky to include the new templates or make a sticky of that comparison chart that Leah posted? I bookmarked it but for future reference to others in order to avoid the “what do?”.
Hi Sorry to hijack this post,
I’m interested in purchasing your hypertrophy 1 template. I have just finished powerbuilding 1 and going to start strength 1 but thinking of getting hypertrophy 1 next and cycling the 3 ready for my first meet but my question is
do you still practice singles like you do in powerbuilding 1 and the strength template in hypertrophy 1 ?
Thanks
No sir, no singles in the hypertrophy template.
Thanks for your help. I already purchased Powerbuilding 1 so I’ll stick with that then go for Hypertropy1 afterwards.
I am also trying to choose between Powerbuilding 1 and Hypertrophy 1. I completed The Bridge 1.0 + Peaking Template for my meet about a month ago and have just been doing random SBD workouts since then. Right now I’d like to slowly cut about 10lbs while maintaining or increasing my strength in the big 3. Is either template preferred for cutting in the offseason or does it even matter? I’ve never done straight hypertrophy so I am curious about trying it to switch things up for awhile, but I also don’t want to miss out on big 3 progress. Thanks for reading!
