Pre bridge question about weight gain rate.

Hey Jordan, If my body fat % is roughly 20-22% going in to the bridge would it be safe to say I could just use the multipliers in TBAB for slower gaining while on the bridge or would it be better to just slowly decrease my current intake until weight gain is about 1-1.5lbs a week? I am 5’6.25, 25 years old and a little over 185lbs. I would like to be 185ish lbs but more like 12-15% body fat to be more competitive when I start power lifting.

I don’t think you need to gain any weight on the bridge at this time, though you could if you were looking to get as strong as possible in the shortest period of time.

If not weight gain on the bridge what would you suggest my next step be, recomp?

I think you should maintain your weight more or less while you continue to train like someone is going to kill you if you don’t make gainzZz

LOL alright, definitely the best advice ever. Thanks Jordan, you the man.

Hey Jordan, I just wanted to ask you with me eating to maintain and all recovery variables held in good standing( sleeping 7-8hrs, hitting macro numbers), is it safe to say I can still shoot roughly trying to increase my estimated max 5% weekly? Thanks just wanted to double check before I get started with this and a busy semester tomorrow.

5% is a big jump to increase. I’d aim for some non zero amount of weight, like 1-5lbs.
